Psalm 119 is a powerful passage with 176 verses. They are divided into an acrostic based on the Hebrew letters of the alphabet. Each section has eight verses attributed to each letter, known as a strophe. The first set based on the Hebrew letter Aleph, is what I call the Holy Way. It deals primarily with going in the right direction. It speaks of an undefiled traveler on this blessed journey. It deals with diligently pursuing the testimonies and statutes of God, not being halfhearted, but wholly committed. When we keep the word of God we have direction, discernment and spiritual desire.
