David had a heart for God. He wanted God to preserve his existence and experience. He didn’t want to just amble through trials and treasures of life without God’s Presence; and he also had a passion for the Presence of God. The enemy of our faith can’t defeat us with offense if we preserve our heart, if we maintain a quest for what is right, and if we guard our thoughts and ambitions with truth. We need to be guarded by the grace of God. We must be hedged by His Holiness.
God can keep us from the wolves of hell. He can fend off the predators of darkness. And David wanted this preserving power. He wanted the Righteousness of God to empower him. This brings about an enduring testimony. It brings about a durable faith. Listen now…
