Then Pharaoh looked out his window and saw Aaron standing in a nearby field. Something was in his hand. Dirt? No, ashes. And just then Aaron and Moses required an audience and as they stood before the ever-defiant Pharaoh Moses lifted his hand and slowly allowed the ashes to sprinkle on the wind. From the ashes of the furnace boils were born. The boils got so bad on all the people that the magicians canceled their next performance; they were too embarrassed by the ravaging sores all over their bodies.
But the boils only boiled Pharaoh’s resolve, and he stubbornly went back to his room, slammed the door and would not let the slave labor be free. It’s funny how Pharaoh became more imprisoned by pride and became a slave to his own will and wore heavier chains of bondage to destiny.
You see, you can’t do it your way and have prosperity with God. And men often think God is just suppressing their skills or intelligence; that by making God a non-existent entity they can erase limitations or human guilt. But God isn’t going anywhere? And no matter who says He doesn’t exist simply doesn’t change His existence.
The fool hath said in his heart there is no God. But God is a rewarder of those who believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. There is no reward in rejection. There is no comfort in ignoring God’s existence, or in refusing God’s instructions, or in reforming God to be something man-made and man controlled. Listen now…
