2Th 1:7  And to you who are troubled (to be brought into difficulties, stress, or struggles) rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed (previously hidden but made fully known) from heaven with his mighty angels, 

2Th 1:8  In flaming fire taking vengeance (penalty inflicted on wrong doers) on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 

2Th 1:9  Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power.

Do you not see what you are giving up? Not just the Presence of the Lord, but the glory of His power. That’s the majesty beyond the manifestation. It’s the splendor, the unmatched heaven He will reveal. This is not the kind savior coming back; this is a King coming to conquer. You can make Jesus look the like the weak kneed, passive, effeminate soft spoken friend of sinners, so that you take the edge off his authority; but make no mistake, the King is coming; not a democracy sharing diplomat, not a opinion poll policy shaping bureaucrat, not a crowd pleaser or sycophant who needs the approval of men. He comes with a rod of iron. He comes with a sword to defeat the enemies. He comes with wrath against the antichrist and his alliances.

There will be no second chances at this point, only eternal chains. There will be forgiveness prayers available at this point, only regretful memories in a lake of fire. Don’t delay the cross or your need to be saved. Do it today…listen now.

Stop Doing the Shame Thing | Message Four

Shame pointed a jagged finger at the woman caught in the act of adultery until Jesus was caught in the act of grace. For he said, Go and sin no more.

Shame surrounded the woman at the well with men that didn’t love her, a city that didn’t want her, and a religion that couldn’t help her; until Jesus brought a river of hope to replace a well of regrets. Then the city that didn’t want her followed her, to meet Jesus. They may not want you right now, but when they see the miracle change they will want what you have; they will want you to be a light in the nightmare darkness…

Shame told Mary Magdelene she was a worthless demon-possessed spinstress that would never fit in, until Jesus ripped the devils from her soul and turned an impoverished damsel into an empowered disciple.

Shame told the ragged, sore-riddled lepers they should keep their distance. Don’t get too close. Stay away. But Jesus, immune to the powers of leprosy, had no fear in approaching them, healing them, and loving them. His uncommon compassion gave them an unfamiliar miracle, because no one outside of a pagan Naaman in the OT we don’t have anyone else recorded as having recovered from leprosy. Favor brings the unfamiliar. God’s love transports us from human rejection to Divine preference. They don’t want us but grace does.

Shame says look what you did. Deliverance says “look what HE DID”!

But let’s not make grace a license to sin. Let’s not drag His favor in human filth and call it permission. You don’t get to live like this world in this life and expect to go to His world in the next life. You can’t lower grace into the pits of perversion, slop around in promiscuous mire, ignore commandments, rewrite scriptures to fit human justifications or prejudices, go in the absolute opposite direction of righteousness and honesty, and expect grace to stay with you.
