Verse 6 shows us that Jesus knew how long the man had been stuck. Too many are stuck in superstition when God gives the accurate kind of supernatural. Isaac meditating in a field didn’t need a horoscope to find him a wife; she came to him by the working of the Spirit; and she was found at a well. God will find his wife at a well not a cistern of seduction.  God knows the chronology of your pain, the timeline of your suffering. He is aware of every detail, every minute adjustment, every incremental change. That is significant because God doesn’t just see the outcome of what you’ve had to endure, he knows the route, every bump in the road, the exact location and date of the hurt, of the setback, of the tragic moments that define our fears.
